The Bustle Created By A. Raja And Its Effects On The Telecom Prices

The ordinary people in power become great people on account of their daring deeds. A. Raja was also shot to fame overnight for his daring deed which is all about corruption and fraudulence. How did he come up in politics and how did he dare to commit the biggest ever corruption in India? He was born as a Dalit in Perambalur and completed his studies in law. There were two reasons how he got closer to Karunanidhi. The first one is he is a Dalit and the second one is his literary skills and skills of composing poetry just as Karunanidhi does.

A. Raja took part in active politics when he was still in college. He gained a seat in the 1996 Lok Sabha elections. At that time the alliance of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Tamil Manila Congress could sweep all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu with a massive victory. After three years, he was made as the Minister of State for Rural Developments. He contested in the Lok Sabha elections of 2004 and 2007 and emerged victorious. He was given the post of Cabinet Minister of Communications in 2009 which made him to abuse the power. As he was brought before law and taken to jail, he had to resign in 2010. It was at that time that A. Raja photos and A. Raja videos became popular among all people making him even more famous.

He was charged against the allocation of 2G spectrum license at the rates of 2001. This should have been auctioned and the highest bidder should have been selected. But he allotted them on first come first serve basis. It was given for 1,658 crore rupees in January 2008 leading to a total loss of 1.40 lakh crore rupees to the Indian government. He was lodged in Tihar jail and CBI investigations were ordered. He was confined to a cell of 15 feet by 10 feet. He felt very bad as his scandal was revealed and was sad in the prison. However, he soon adapted to the prison life and spends his days with other prisoners. Kanimozhi the daughter Karunanidhi is also suspected to have involvement in this scam.

The Indian Supreme Court ordered the fraudulent companies to pay a penalty of 15 lakh to 15 crore rupees based on the charges. Totally the licenses of 122 companies had been sacked by the court. This verdict brought about many changes in the social, commercial and political arena. There are many changes in the share prices of the telecom companies.

The future of the telecom prices is under a big question. There is an expectation of changes in the telephone charges. People start to worry if they will be elevated. Surely the 2G licenses would be auctioned and the rates will be considerably higher than before. This is not the relationship between demand and supply but is a complicated case of corruption that created great bustle in the market. However, the licenses are allotted to six or seven companies in every zone and so there will stiff competition among them. This will keep the prices stable and the changes in prices if any will be very little.
