Though human life has become busy and hectic these days, those who have learned to enjoy this life always love to bring back the sweet memories in their life. Every heart has its own sweet memories and bitter memories. But it is human nature to forget the bitter ones and remember the sweet ones. Some of them stay in our heart as indelible dots forever.
We always run after money but after achieving our goal if we look back the whole life will appear trivial in our eyes. Generations have come and gone and the eras turn in the wheels of time. No one knows about the people who lived in the place we live few centuries back. A common man might be remembered at the most for about five generations. After that no one knows about him. However though life appears pessimistic in this view, the optimistic part of it is the pleasure we get through our nostalgic moments. This is what I have tried to show in my poem that you read below.
Remains of Life
What are the remains of this worldly life?
Except the thoughts about child and wife,
If there is not another single soul
To think about our sugar bowl-
Filled with sweet thoughts and remembrance,
Then what is worth of worldly appearance?
Nothing we had when we were born,
Nothing we take when others mourn
On our departure from this sandy earth
Which may for sometimes stand beneath
The hundred thoughts and hundred worries
Of modern man as he buries.
Tombs of dead may not be looked at
As people forget him, but remember his hat.
This is the present world that we should understand
Remains of life are also buried with him in sand.
But some memories will never die,
Beneath every heart, they do lie;
Past may be filled with fears,
Or it may be filled with tears.
Old and gold far off thing
Brings happiness to the offspring!
Sufferings may be lot
And cheerful days may be short.
But some memories will never die,
Beneath every heart, they do lie.
We do get childish pleasure,
When we bring those thoughts back,
................................................in our leisure.
