Asin Thottumkal is the full name of Asin and she is a South Indian actress who has captivated the hearts of the viewers with her fantastic performance. She is from Kerala and has completed her bachelors’ degree in English literature. She took an interest in acting since her younger days that she was just 15 years old when she debuted into the Malayalam film industry. However, she went back to continue her studies.

Many of her films depict her excellent talents in acting. When the film Ghajini was produced in three languages, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, she performed in all of this. This is just enough to say her excellence. She performed the role of Kalpana in that film. It is all about a rich man Sanjay Ramaswami who is cross with a model Kalpana as she was boasting and making people believe that she was in love with Sanjay. At one point, Sanjay sees her helpful to others and falls in love with her. Kalpana did not know that he was the man that she was talking about earlier. She is into problem with the goons and dies during a fight. Ironically she would not know until her death that this man whom she loved was Sanjay. Sanjay getting a blow on his head was affected by memory loss problem and he could not remember anything older than 15 minutes. Finally the story says how he avenges the death of his lover.

Asin Thottumkal paired with Vijay in the film Sivakasi. She was in love with Vijay who is a good boy. He bears the sin committed by his brother and so is driven out of the house in his younger years. He becomes a famous personality and the story is filled with the affection between the mother and the son. Vijay comes back to village and fights against his corrupt brother and succeeds in the end and the film ends with the happy marriage of Vijay and Asin.

Asin plays a powerful role in the film Kaavalan. This film is the remake of the Hindi movie Bodyguard. Meera’s father has full faith in Vijay and Vijay respects him very much. Vijay is sent to guard Asin who performs the role of Meera. Meera wants to play with Vijay and so calls him over phone and expresses her love without revealing her identity. Vijay does not know who the caller is but slowly falls in love with her. They plan to meet at one place and at that time, Meera is into trouble and to save Vijay from her father asks Madhu to meet Vijay in lieu of her. Vijay marries Madhu but Madhu dies soon. Their son Siddharth comes to know all the truth after reading the diary of her mother and helps in the union of Vijay and Asin. Asin shows every expression in her face gracefully that would captivate the hearts of the audiences.

Another mega project of Asin is Dasavatharam. She plays dual role in this film and the story starts with the tussle among the Saivites and Vaishnavites that happended in the 12^th century. The most remarkable feature of the film is the 10 roles performed by Kamal Hassan. Though the film starts with historical period, it switches back to the modern scientific era of bio weapons. Her performance made Asin Thottumkal photos and Asin Thottumkal videos quite popular among the youths.
