People getting old are inevitable, and taking care of those people is our responsibility. Parents play an important role in our lives. They brought up their children despite of having so many miserable situations in their life. They fulfill our dreams and demands in our child hood and so in return it is our duty to give respect, care and love to them.

Grandparents are very useful in our families for looking after their grand children. They give protection, advice, love, affection, teaching them good habits and even playing with them.

In old age they have ageing problems like illness, disability, dependence on others to do their basic necessities. Many people consider it as a burden for their family and so, they want to escape from their responsibilities and push the old people to old age homes .Old age parents also never complain for anything.

When we grow into adults and form our own families, we can understand better the role of our own parents. As we are growing up we must remember that our parents are getting older. They need help and protection. They have a lonely experience because they miss the chaos, fun, job etc. Parents take care of young children provide for their needs. Similarly when parents become very old and it is an expression of gratitude to take care of our parent when possible.

Elderly care has been the responsibility of each family member in a home. In the modern world elderly care is now being given by charitable institutions.

There are several things we can do to make our parents feel happy in their old age.

Some of them are, we let them know that our life is going well. Our parents always worry about us whether we are going good or not. By letting them know we are doing well, it makes them happy. Show gratitude to our parents for everything they have done for us in the past as well as in the present makes them happy. We must show respect to our parents at all times and always thankful to them. Spend time with our parents. Celebrate their birthdays as we can.

One should not forget that today we are at this stage is just because of their blood, efforts and blessings.
