It was Salman’s second movie is the recent times made from south Indian languages. Earlier too ‘Tere naam’ in 2003 played a significant role in refreshing his career as a talented actor, the remake of Vikram starrer Tamil blockbuster – Sethu. Since the release of Bodyguard, a series of masala south Indian brainless movies have been remade to Hindi with salman khan playing the pivot role - Ready (remake of the 2008 Telugu film, Ready), Jai Ho (remake of the 2006 Telugu film Stalin) and Kick (remake of Telugu flick – Kick) and all the movies have been runaway successes at box office.
