Sachin Tendulkar - The God Of Cricket

 

Year 2012 is not only known for bad year for world cup 2011 winner team but also known for the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar. The back bone of Indian cricket team since last two decades Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar declare his retirement from International one day cricket. The declaration comes just before the announcement of team for the Indo Pakistan series.

 

Cricket Career of Sachin Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar born on 24 April 1973 in Mumbai. He started to play with his partner Vinod Kambli in school level as well on state level. Later he entered in international level against Pakistan at the age of 16 year in November 1989. He played the first one day against the same team in in December 1989. From 1989 to till his retirement from one day international he made several records. During his carrier he was known as ‘little master’, ‘Master Blaster’ and ‘God of Cricket’. In this time he won several civilian awards includes, Padma Vibhushan and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. He had won the cricketer of the year award in 2010.

 

Records made by Sachin Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar made several records during his one day career. He made 18426 runs in 463 matches at an average of 44.83. He made the 49 centuries and 96 half centuries which is also a record. He was the first player who scored a double hundred in one day against South Africa. Sachin Tendulkar has the record of seven time 1000 runs in a calendar year. He has done it in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2007. He had the record of 62 man of the matches and 15 man of the series award. He took 154 wickets in his one day career at an average of 44.32. Two times he took 5 wickets in an innings.

 

He was the first player who was awarded by the honorary rank of Group captain by Indian air force. He was nominated as the member of Rajya Sabha (Upper house of parliament) in 2012. Sachin is still playing international test cricket. We hope  he will get more success in his future.
