Prashanthi is one of the famous Anchors in Telugu channels. She has done many shows especially the shows related to interviews of the famous actors. The chance of working with the channels was unexpected to her. She was doing her college and also worked in channel as an anchor. She was born and bought up in Hyderabad. Father is a government employee and mother is a house wife. She is the second kid of four to their parents. Watching movies was very rare to her in her childhood. Her parents always thought that she should be well educated and get settled in life with a good job. When she was studying in her college, her Sanskrit lecturer had a friend who was a director. Once this director has come to Prashanthi’s college to meet his friend, and when he saw Prashanthi there he told her “You have a good camera face, so will you work if you get a chance?” though she was interested, her parents were not interested to send their daughter into industry, has they felt that one who work in industry would never get married. Later her lecturer went with a recommendation to her parents and made them convinced to work for at least one show in a Tv channel. So her father agreed for this when she was studying in her degree final. They she started her career with a TV show called “Siniranjani” of ETV. Later after working for 3 to 4 months her father liked the environment and Prashanthi continued her career of TV anchoring by doing her studies. Though she got many chances to work in movies and serials, she never tried them, because her father did not like her doing movies and serials.

She has also worked as a model of Kalanjali. She got good name by shows like “Manoranjini”, “Reality Show Andhravala”, “Shrimathi Bhagyashree”, etc in ETV Channel. Later she worked in live shows and also as a anchor in Gemini Music. She has taken interviews of famous personalities like Kamal Hasan, Pavan Kalyan and many more directors. “We are feeling very jealous about you Prasanthi” said all her friends when she took an interview of Mr Pavan Kalyan before the release of Movie “Gabbar Singh”.

Now she is working in “Sakhi” of ETV, for a cookery show of Telangana Channel, taking interviews of famous personalities in Gemini and Zee Telugu. And Prashanthi also reveals that she has worked for a movie with her father’s permission names as “Anaganaga” which is going to be released very shortly.
