Mr Shaik Jony Pasha who is working as a driver in RTC, has proved himself to be a real citizen of India. The department of RTC has awarded him Rs 25000/- for his work and a foundation called COVA has awarded him by appreciating and respecting his bravery. Mr Pasha was present in Dilshuknagar of AP on 21^st January when there was a Bomb blast.

Lets us see the experience of Mr Pasha in his own words. “That day I had a leave, I went to that place to attend a Union Meeting. When I found that it may take time to start the meeting, I thought of going to have tea in a nearby bus stop. All of a sudden I heard a very big noise; firstly I thought that it may be some bus tire blast. But when I saw that the entire place started covering with heavy smoke, I found something has gone wrong and went to find out, and then suddenly another blast took place. I saw two wheelers flying in the air and the people who were driving falling from the air. I took immediate action. I went to that place and was completely in shock to see hundreds of people injured and crying. I put some of the injured in the bus and told the driver to take them to the hospital. Immediately I called the ambulance and also informed Malkalpet SI Mr Satyanayana and Dilshuknagar Depo manager Mr Chiranjeevi about this incident.

Some of the people also reacted very soon; they also came to my help. By all of their help we could help the injured to get into the ambulance. One lady who was very badly injured was unable to get up, so I took her into my hands and run towards the ambulance, but it was the fate that the lady had lost of life in my hands only.

Some people were very scared that if another blast would take place. But some people never scared about this, but helped the injured a lot. The whole night I dint not go to home, I was in that place only giving my helping hand”

When we come across such shocking incident, our mind becomes blank and don’t know how to react. But it is our responsibility to react and help in whatever we can.
