Never Ever Tasted Indian Chicken Curry

 

The Indian chicken curry is an item of great need in Indian restaurants. You can prepare most of them at your home by yourself easily. There are so many types of Indian chicken curry dishes such as chicken starters, chicken soups, chicken rice dishes, chicken gravy, dry chicken varieties, chicken appetizers, etc. They may sound to be tough to prepare but in reality they are easiest and tastiest dishes that you would have ever prepared or tasted.

You can add cooked chicken with chicken stalk to any soup varieties to get that great flavor and taste of chicken. If you add chicken pieces to sweet corn soup then it will become sweet corn chicken soup and if you add chicken to mushroom soup or tomato soup then it will be relished as chicken mushroom soup and tomato chicken soup. If you use your imagination a little you can prepare many more variety of soup items like creamy chicken soup, spicy chicken soup, chicken herb soup, etc.

Another variety of Indian chicken curry is chicken starters. They are the real appetizers that taste yummy and delicious. They will make you eat them again and again. You will be tempted to cook these items frequently as this will turn the favorite of your children. You may try chicken roast, chicken kababs, barbecued chicken, chicken chops, fried chicken, chicken 65, chili chicken, tandoori chicken, etc.

Indian chicken curry like chicken gravy is prepared in wide varieties and they are used as side dishes for chapattis, parottas, naans and even for idlis and dosas. They have a thick liquid consistency that will go perfectly with any of these items. The chicken and spices are added with the coconut paste and tomato paste and sometimes with cashew and almond paste to get this thick liquid. You can change the spices to your requirements to get different tastes at different times. Some of the gravy varieties are spicy chicken curry, mughlai chicken, chicken chettinad, chicken korma, chicken kulambu, chicken curry with coconut, etc. Kadai chicken, chicken makkanwala, chicken kofta curry are my favorites. You can add any other items into this gravy like chopped potatoes, green peas, mushrooms and even bread crumbs to add taste to it.

The most important Indian chicken curry is chicken rice dishes. Chicken biriyani could be said as the queen of all chicken dishes. You can also make delicious spicy chicken rice, chicken pulav, chicken bath, chicken fried rice, etc. There are so many varieties of chicken biriyani like Hyderabadi chicken biriyani, mughlai chicken biriyani, chettinad chicken biriyani, etc. I am giving here the recipe of Mughlai chicken biriyani which is my favorite one. It is easy to prepare and goes perfectly with onion and curd raitha.

Ingredients:

Basmati rice – 1 kg

Chicken pieces – 1kg

Ginger garlic paste 5 tablespoons

Powdered cinnamon, clove and cardamom – 1 teaspoon

Chili powder – 1 tablespoon

Green chili – 4

Curd – 1 cup

Juice of one lemon

Oil – 250 ml

Ghee – 50 ml

Mint leaves and coriander leaves

Tomato – 5 chopped

Onion – 2 chopped

Salt to taste and color powder if needed

Pour oil into the vessel and put chopped onion, ginger garlic paste and fry them till golden brown.

Add cinnamon, clove and cardamom powder and chili powder, green chili and chicken pieces and fry them for 5 minutes.

Put all the other items except rice and add one glass of water and salt to taste and let the chicken cook.

When the chicken is half cooked add two liters of water and let it to boil.

Add washed and soaked rice into the boiling water and add color powder and ghee over it and cook till it is done.

The taste of this special Indian chicken curry will linger in your taste buds for hours.
