Introduction:

Home is an important place to all. It gives comfort, shelter and safety. Members are bound in a relation. All members are important part of every joy and sorrow. All members share their happiness, experiences and help with each other in every work. Thus a happy family is made. 

I want to share something of my own family:

I live in a joint family consisting of my parents, my wife and my two children. My father is ex-serviceman and mother is a completely housewife. My wife is also a housewife. My daughter is a student of class eight where son is in class two. I am the only earner of my family.

About our home:

We all live together in a small house (single storied) consisting of three bed rooms, one dinning cum dinner room, two bathroom with latrine and one kitchen. There is also a small but beautiful garden also in front of our house. The garden is maintained by my father and me some time. One bedroom is used by my parents, one is used by my children, which is also their study room and the rest one is used by me with my wife.

Children’s room

The room is used mainly to study. So there are two separate bookshelves for both of them. My parents and we help them in their studies. The room is well lighted and decorated with some pictures of my children. We all maintain silence in that room when the children practice their studies.

Next kitchen: It is the work place of my wife. She is a fantastic cook also. She has a great contribution in this home. We all said her as an engine of our home. In one hand she helps and cares the children in their daily life and in other hand she also cares and maintains the all necessities of members. Yes in one word she carries a lot of load of my family.

Now parents:

We love them and respect them even above the God. They are seniors and have a lot of experience. So we feel relax sometimes and get many valuable suggestions from them. They also love us very much. They help our children in their study and tell some stories also to children. Regular play with children is a common matter. So in one word they act as an umbrella to us.

Importance of home to me:-

Whenever I think about my home, first the image of my family comes in my mind. To me it is a place where I can find my childhood, my roots. It has some dimensions like shelter, heart, hearth, privacy and paradise. In the begging of my life it was the shelter and hearth, then it becomes heart and shelter with privacy and now it is a paradise to me. So the slogan,” East or west, my home is the best” is perfect to me.

A bird returns to its nest after looking of foods for the whole day. Why? As its home gives it a supreme comfort which is warm and safe. Like that my home and family is my nest- the center of my life. So as a family man I feel my home as most comfortable place in the world.

How to build a healthy home:

A peaceful home life depends on three elements mainly. One is the relationship among family members, second is the atmosphere of the home and the last one is the way of the home how it is running.

When a family shares its principles and values, then it grows to the prosperity. So it becomes a foundation to that family where each family member can pursue his/her goal. Children demands from their grandparents to hear some stories, teenagers can debate with some meaningful issues with each other which help to be more bounded in family and society. Thus a family becomes a light of society, where all members get together all time, may be in evening songs or in any social occasions. Thus a family becomes alive with energy and hope of urgency and love.

Some activities we all do together to make it more beautiful-

• We share our views among each other regarding any issue.
• We try to take lunch and dinner together even morning tea and breakfast also.
• We attend all together in any social occasion or party.
• We love and respect to each other of the family including outsiders also.
• We welcome guests also and give proper respect to them.
• Sometimes we go for shopping or to see movie together.
• We stand beside any member if he/ she face any problem.
• We always try to maintain a common harmony at home.
• We celebrate our birthdays, or parents anniversary and wish also.
• We share our works at home as much as possible.

Conclusion:Thus we maintain our home. I have shared my thought here hoping it will be beneficial to many who want to make their home beautiful and peaceful.We should keep in our mind about safety also as we don't want to face any unwanted facts. Some may be happened or problems may come but we should face with calm mind and sure we will be successful.
