Now it is monsoon time all over India. So, costumes and sandals of this season carry those foot prints too. Monsoon is the best season to experiment with styles. Convenience to use and easy to escape from moisture – these two attributes are the primary necessities while choosing monsoon costumes and makeup.  So, let me tell you in brief the makeup, dress and slippers for this rainy season. Dark colours are most experimented during this season, yet white tops are also chosen. Colourful accessories including bags, belts and ornaments are more trendy along with such costumes.

Make up: Now every girl prefers to have makeup while going out – either to a party or to college. Since humidity is high during monsoon let us take care of a few things while doing makeup. Choose a face wash that removes sweat and oil completely. Use toner according to your type of skin. It’s better to choose water proof and sweat proof cosmetics. Use water proof mascara and eye liner. You can use electrifying lipstick and neon colour nail polish.

Monsoon slippers: It’s better to buy separate slippers for monsoon. As normal leather and expensive sandals can’t be used in wet rain, rain boots, flup flops and flotteries models are the best options. Bright colours like hot pink, navy blue, red or orange can be chosen. Add a water proof colourful bag too as accessories.  It’s better to choose boys’ type of floaters for rainy season. Gun boots is the latest trend. It covers whole foot and keeps it free of mud.

Monsoon dresses: Cotton dress has less demand during monsoon. Defect is that it takes more time to dry and holds moisture too, particularly crisp cotton and silk cotton. Rain may spoil the smart look of both. Thinner varieties like Gorget and Net chiffon are of delicate types and dry easily. But such types never suit cold climate. Synthetic material is the star of rainy season. It is bit risky to wear costly silk saris during monsoon. You can choose party wears like satin silk or row silk. Also half sleeve tops are best during monsoon. Also leave rich brocade and silk, they take more time for drying too.
