Mobile phones are creating history in this new generation. Every now and then we see different mobile phone coming into the market. But as the mobile phone users are growing so as the mobile towers are growing and this subsequently growing the danger of radiation which comes out from our mobile phones. While talking to someone on your mobile phone as you go away from your mobile tower, more the danger of radiation from your mobile phone increases. As you go away from the mobile tower, your mobile phone tries to catch the signal and during that process the radiation from phone increases. WHO (World Health Organization) has strictly warned India, as the users on mobile phones in India is increasing rapidly.

Government has made few rules to control the radiation from mobile phones by reducing the energy of mobile tower, but they are neglecting the radiation danger which increases when a mobile phone is out of range and trying to catch the signal. WHO has also revealed that if we try to reduce the energy of mobile tower, a strong radiation comes out and this cause severe effect to human beings. Handset of the mobile phone remains much closer to our body so this affects the human body.

In December 2012, Indian Government had changed the rules of mobile tower and reduced the energy of mobile towers. Mobile Companies were strictly told to do this and in case if they don’t do it, there were prepared to fine them 5 lakh rupees. In this way the energy of tower was reduced and to remain connected to the network, mobile handset has to use full power and in this process the radiation from the phone increases.

WHO has strictly said that the rules which are made regarding the tower radiation are wrong? Government could have reduced the energy of mobile towers looking at the health danger of Human beings, but they didn’t take notice of this. WHO officials have said that Electro-magnetic Radiation which comes out of mobile phones is 1000 times more than radiation coming out of Mobile tower or base Station. They have said that instead of protesting the Energy of Tower, Indian Government should plant more and more mobile towers so that the effect of radiation can be decreased.

Communication Department does not think that by reducing the energy of mobile tower, radiation increases. There are few awareness programs launched to aware the people about the disadvantages. In those awareness programs people are asked to remain away from Antenna rather than mobile tower. According to the department, when any mobile handset remains away from mobile tower at that time handset uses more energy to remain connected to the network. So, we should try to use mobile phone when there is appropriate mobile tower availability near-by.
