Microsoft To Get Support Off Windows XP

Have you been using the Windows XP operating system? If your answer is yes, then you should be ready to make a lot of changes in your operating systems and in your life as well. Well, there are some reasons why that should happen. The first thing is that Microsoft will be taking the support off this Windows OS.

The support will be taken off from April 8. So, from April 8, the operating system will not be monitored. That means hackers will easily be able to hack into your system. There will be no updates and no security measures.

Your system will be more vulnerable if you use internet. The chances of hackers will increase to a great extent no matter what anti-virus you use. Sooner than later, your system will give way. There will be no use continuing with the same OS and hoping that it will still keeping working for you the same way as it used to work before.

However, some people may not be ready to migrate so soon. There are reasons for that. The first thing is that one has got used to the old OS and one becomes used to it. So, as one gets used to it, it becomes a habit and it is difficult to change it. Secondly, it costs bucks to upgrade and so that is one reason why users using Windows XP might not be really inclined towards upgrading.

Another reason for people being reluctant to upgrade to any other operating system is that one may also need to upgrade their hardware. Operating systems launched of late need stronger hardware configuration to be able to run them. Not all systems are capable of that, because running Windows XP and running something like Windows 7 or 8 are poles apart.

Or sometimes, users just run out of luck. Even when they want to, they cannot upgrade for various reasons. And one weird reason can be like a user not knowing what OS he is using. Can this be a reason to avoid upgrading or changing the OS on a machine? You never know what excuse anyone will forward. But at the end of the day, Windows XP won’t take you far from here on.

And now, Microsoft is offering a discount of $100 off as they look to expand the presence of Windows 8 OS version for personal computers. It remains to be seen what sort of response they get with this offer.
