Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3 is making records fall as a pack of cards and setting new ones as well. The film has now crossed the Rs. 250 crore mark at the box office. Krrish 3 is the only third film to enter this club. However, crossing the Rs. 250 crores is an achievement in itself.

The numbers speak for themselves for Krrish 3. The film has become the second highest grosser of all time after Chennai Express. The great thing about the film was that it reached the mark in 12 days flat.

One thing that must be mentioned about the film and the pace at which it went on setting records is that it is the fastest movie to cross the 200 crore threshold. Before that the 100 crore mark was considered the one that was spelt success for the film. But with the success of the films like 3 Idiots, Chennai Express and Krrish 3, it looks like 200 crore is the new 100 crore mark as standards keep rising all time.

One record that Krrish 3 has in its name is grossing the highest amount in a single day. The film might not have got the biggest opening in the history; however, the box office rang and rang sweetly. The record was re-written on Monday – the first after the film released. On this day, the film collected Rs. 35.91 crores.

There was some competition expected between Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express and Krrish 3. However, both films have records of their own to boast of. On one hand Chennai Express needed a mere four days to reach the 100 crore mark. This is a record for the film to reach the milestone in such a short span of time.

However, if these two films are compared for the next threshold of 200 crores, it took Chennai Express a couple of weeks to reach there, while Krrish 3 reached the landmark on the seventh day itself.

No wonder, the makers of the film are now looking for the sequel of this super hit blockbuster. It remains to be seen what more the Krrish superhero has in store after the trilogy.
