The Indian clothing abounds in the fashion industry. Though there are some online shops that sell Indian clothing, people of India are not yet used to online purchases. They prefer to go to the cloth stores in person and buy their dresses. Certainly one cannot feel the texture of the dresses that are sold online and one cannot measure the thickness of the materials too. So, people love to select them directly. In festival times, you can see huge crowds in all the cloth shops.

Wearing new dresses during festival times and special occasions is a custom in Indian families. Wedding dresses are selected by the whole family. The whole family members come to the cloth store and make their purchases in bulk. Stock clearance sale is carried out in all the shops at particular time of the year. This sale helps them to make new investments in new trends and patterns. The cost of Indian clothing will be cheaper during these times and you can get discounts from 10% to as much as 50%. Many people prefer to buy dresses during this time and preserve them for the upcoming festival seasons.

The other Indian clothing includes suits, t-shirts, tops, bottom wear, lingerie, night wear, skirts, jeans, casuals, sportswear, maternity wear, winter wear and seasonal dresses. Young girls and women prefer to wear night wears when they are at home. This is usually like a single piece long gown. The ease of wearing and ease of maintenance has made these nighties very famous among youngsters. The people living in cold places like Kashmir wear beautiful bright colored sweaters and shawls and other woolen Indian clothing. The type of Indian clothing therefore greatly varies from region to region, culture to culture and season to season.
