You shall be surprised to note that hypertension is one of the most common problems in the world, which has affected almost 500 million people- a big number indeed. Hypertension can have bad effect on eyes, brain and kiddies if not controlled in time and no proper treatment taken on regular basis.

The Hypertension and symptoms 

Hypertension is a chronic medical condition, which increases pressure of blood in arteries resulting in heart to work overtime to keep blood circulation proper. A person having 140/90 mm/hg constantly is known as patient of blood pressure or hypertension.

The causes

The most common factors in 95% cases the patients suffering from hypertension has no reasons known as primary hypertension and only 5% patients suffer due to heart or kidney related diseases. As there are no visible signs of this problem, it is hard to know the symptoms in its primary stage. The most common problem that can occur in case of hypertension is a headache or dizziness, which most people do not take seriously in initial stages.

However, it is advised to have a regular checkup after the age of 30 to ascertain if a person is suffering from this disease through a simple routine check. In addition, if there is a history of headaches and sudden dizziness, age should not be a factor but one must go thorough checkup to detect the problem at an early stage.

Potential changes to fight with the problem

To fight with the common hypertension also known as primary hypertension where heart or kidney is not affected one should try to stay away from tensions and stresses as much as possible, meditation helps to a great extent, concentrate on your hobbies to remain tension free. Exercises help stay free from many diseases including hypertension but you shall have to be very careful while selecting your workout plan as it should be under the guidance of your doctor or health trainer.

Morning walks and light jogging are advised to patients of hypertension, which helps keep your blood pressure in check. Eat salt as less as possible and never include it as an additive in salads, fruits, juices. Patients of hypertension should eat fruits, fiber diets, dry fruits and dark chocolates. As usual, lot of water is one good way of keeping your BP down as it washes away toxins and salts from your system to keep it clean.
