The places Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are called as Golden Triangle India. These cities have many places of historical interest and have many beautiful monuments worth visiting. Jaipur is situated 235 kilometers from Agra and New Delhi is situated 265 kilometers from Jaipur and Agra is situated 204 kilometers from New Delhi forming a triangle. Anyone who is planning a tour to one of these places may plan to visit the other two as all of them are situated in close proximity.

If you have less number of days but want to visit this Golden Triangle India you may plan a tour of three days. Those who are heading to these places from South India may start with Agra. Plan your journey accordingly so that you can reach Agra early in the morning. This will help you to refresh and head to Taj Mahal at about nine in the morning after breakfast. Two or three hours will be more than enough to see Taj Mahal and other buildings surrounding it. After recording some nice photography you may take a taxi to see Agra Fort. The train will take you to Jaipur at 10 pm night. It is better to book the hotel in Jaipur in advance. Many of the hotels offer railway station pickups. Jaipur is located in the desert state of Rajasthan and so the climate will be very hot during day time and cold during nights. The best time in year to visit the Golden Triangle India is from August to March. It is better to book rooms with air condition facility when you stay at Jaipur. The important places to visit in Jaipur are Amber Fort, Jal Mahal palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and Maharaja City Palace and museum. You can enjoy elephant ride in Amber Fort and camel ride near Jal Mahal Palace.

If you start from Jaipur at night you can reach New Delhi next morning. Volvo buses and trains will be comfortable. There are many tour packages in New Delhi that will show you almost all the important historical places in just one day. The important places that are worth visiting in Delhi are Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Humayun Tomb, Qutub Minar, Rastrapathi Bhawan, and Indian parliament, India Gate, Lotus Temple, Feroz Shah Kotla and Birla Temple. Most of the tour packages will drop you at Red Fort after the fall of the day. The lighting show is arranged every night.

You may get back to lodging or to railway station or airport at night as per your requirement. This Golden Triangle India tour will give you the chance to see as much historical places as possible. If you want to do some shopping you can enter the bazaar near Jama Masjid or Chandni Chowk. Avoid going to Agra in Fridays because Taj Mahal is closed every Friday.
