What to do there

Almost all activities of the visitors are limited on the beaches where people stay their entire duration of visit, make their wishes, offer Prasad to sea and taken a holy dip on the main Sankranti day. Some People who come for the purpose of Pind Daan, go for a head shave, donations and another bath for well being of their departed relatives.

The main beach faces a severe shortage of drinkable water therefore, visitors depend on a pond of water or bottled water brought with them. The place is well connected with Kolkata via road. Although the place has religious value but visitors go there for adventure purpose also. The best time to visit Ganga Sagar is in between April to November.
