For A Healthy Heart A Few Tips For You

From the day we are born on earth, an organ works continuously till the end of our life journey supplying blood, oxygen and nutrition to each and every cell of our body. If it goes for a strike for a minute or two, our whole world will end for ever. It’s just a small organ of a size of our hand fist that pumps gallons of blood everyday to keep all our activities going on without fail. His name is ‘heart’ – the most important part of a human body in addition to brain.

80% of diseases related to brain and heart can be controlled if we take a little care in our food habits. Smoking – directly or indirectly, LDL – bad cholesterol, diabetics, obesity, less fruits and vegetables in daily diet, less exercise and manual work, stress and tensions, unhealthy eating habits – reasons are many that give sudden death to our poor heart that works without any complaint as long as it can. So, it’s our responsibility too, to give it less pressure and more health so that we can live long with a healthy heart free of medicines and hospitals.

Till the recent times, it was believed that heart disease is only for males and old people. But now, heart attack is common at late 20’s and early 30’s. Ladies are also not free from the bad effects of heart attacks and heart diseases. Kids who have genetic disorders and chances for heart related problems are prone to such conditions if proper care is not taken in their food habits. For that let me give you a few tips.

  1. Including fruits and vegetables in your dish can improve your heart’s health a lot.
  2. Reduce salt, sugar and fat content food. They add extra calories to our blood vessels and body resulting in heart related problems, cholesterol and blood pressure.
  3. Avoid bakery items, carbonated drinks and fast food. Such items can be prepared at home free of health hazards. Colours, unsaturated fats and sugar are used for bakery items.
  4. Half hour exercise at least 5 days a week is good for one’s heart. It need not be manual exercise. Shopping, gardening, house cleaning, cycling etc also come under this category.
  5. Avoid liquor and smoke inside your home. Your smoking may harm your dear ones’ health too.
