Located in a prime location like Syndicate Circle, Fab India opened its first store in Manipal on August 10^th 2012. They offer a range of pure cotton, silk and handloom fabrics. Apart from apparel they also offer a variety of organic food, soaps, herbal tea and scented candles. Fab India has monthly promos that highlights one category of product every month, for instance they have the “Utsav” promo going on for the month of October, which offers clothes and accessories for the festive month of Dasara at discounted price. The company’s target is to reach 200 stores by 2015; currently they stand at 168 stores across India.

From breezy cottons to elegant silk, Ikkat to Bandhini and Block prints to tie and dye, the store has something to offer for everyone, they also have jewelers studded with semi-precious stones and terracotta jewelers. Moving to the accessories category, they offer stoles, bags and footwear. Their organic food section is a big hit among the health conscious, herbal tea, organic jams, pickles and spices are available for reasonable rates, the prices start from Rs 500 and go on up to Rs 7000. Also, they use only natural dyes and no artificial colors in their products.

A regular customer at Fab India, Mr. S. Shetty, who recently moved to Manipal from Bangalore says “It is very convenient as I find all my organic items here and I don’t have to depend of people to send it to me from Bangalore “he also finds the store keeper in Manipal more patient and helpful than the others in Bangalore “if any item is out of stock, they make it a point to write it down and inform me once it is available” says Mr. Shetty.

As their little way of giving back to the society, the products of Fab India are mainly sourced from villages to provide and sustain rural employment in India, they help the village artisans by buying products directly from them, providing them appropriate prices and avoiding corruption by middlemen.
