Most of the people use glass paper weight. The papers weights made of glass may fall. The smooth stones which are available at the bank of the sea can be utilized as paper weights. As the surface of them will be smooth, so we can design them painting with different colors and then they can be used as paper weights. We can design them as we draw designs on paper

Required things:

Stones

Scrub brush

Hot water

Acrylic colors

Pearl fabric tubes.

Painting brushes

Varnish

Though the surfaces of these stones are smooth but they are having different shapes. If you want to use them as paper weight then it is good to choose the stones which are round in shape. First we need to remove the dirt from the surface of the stone by using hot water and scrub brush. Then you need to wait until they get dry completely.

                If you want to design the stone simply then choose a simple greeting card and by seeing it, paint the stone using 2 colors. If you are an artist then you need to draw with marker and then paint it. We can draw dog, cat, penguin drawing on these stones simply. When the acryl paint gets completely dry then apply varnish to it.

                Mix four or five colors in a box and then dip the stone in that mixture and take out. Therefore, multicolored paper weights are ready.

We can design these stones with oil paints and enamel paints also.

Felt Cover:

Get a felt cloth of your desired color and as it is a cloth you can do embroidery also. Then cover the stone with this embroidery felt cloth. Therefore, it looks more different and variety.

I feel, all these are wonderful creative and interesting work. So now there is no need run to shops to get paper weight as we can make them in a very creative manner in our home itself. Therefore, we need to run towards sea to get stones. When we use the things which we have created then we gets a self-satisfaction and a kind of happiness
