Private hospitals are responsible for more cesarean cases

It has become a common trend in private nursing homes where almost 80% babies are being delivered through cesarean process despite of the fact that most of these could have been normal cases. If you compare cases of delivery in government hospitals, you will see that cases of cesarean are almost 10% compared to private nursing homes but they do not accept it. The private hospitals, which are preferred to government hospitals, for careful nursing and hygienic atmosphere are taking full advantage of trust shown by patients.

Most private nursing homes do not agree to the fact of forced cesarean as they think that most cases they handle are either too complicated or these cases are referred ones by government hospitals in case of complications. But the facts are different, the private surgeons are doing to save their time and earn more money. One should not feel surprised to know that there are some women, who prefer cesarean to normal delivery in order to avoid pain during natural delivery.   

Money and time are big factors

A normal delivery case costs about five to seven thousand in an ordinary private nursing home while the cost of cesarean comes to around twenty thousands depending upon there are no complications during surgery. In case of complications, the cost goes much higher. There is time factor also that matters as in case of a normal delivery a doctor has to spend lot of time attending a patient that could be any thing in between 2-3 hours to one full day.

Normal cases in government hospitals

For the simple reason that most patients in government hospitals are from lower classes who cannot afford to go to private nursing homes besides doctors in government hospitals cannot charge their patients for operation charges therefore do not force or take any interest in surgery cases and let it take place the natural way.

Time is also no problem for government hospitals as they do not have to earn money depending on time spent per case therefore the cases of normal deliveries are more likely in government hospitals compared to private nursing homes.
