Celebrating 25 Years Of QSQT

 

Qayamat se qayamat tak – the movie that caught millions of followers all around the world with super performance of Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla and lovely music of Anand Miland was a trend setter to new generation cinema and melodious tunes, when the whole music lovers were running behind the disco tunes of Bappi Lahari and Laxmikanth Pyarelal during 1980’s. Though the movie was released in 1988, it’s often counted among the movies of 1990’s and it was the trend setter to cinemas and music of melodious and romantic 90’s.

 

Though Aamir and Juhi had done a few movies during late 80’s, it was QSQT that brought this couple to limelight. Very soon we saw many romantic movies of this successful pair – Love love love, Hum hai rahi pyar ke, Tum mere ho and for the last time in Ishq, when this sweet pair decided that they will never work again.  Qayamat se qayamat was released in the year 1988 and it has now completed glorifying 25 years of Aamir Khan as a successful actor too. Though Juhi Chawla is not busy in acting nowadays, she is seen behind screens along with shah Rukh Khan in their production company.

 

QSQT was a well received and critically well acclaimed movie directed by Mansoor Khan, Aamir’s uncle. It can be said that Mansoor Khan launched his nephew through this movie, though Aamir has played less significant roles in Holi (1985). So, QSQT is considered as the debut movie of Aamir for which he won best debit award male at Filmfare annual awards. His style as a chocolate hero and appealing looks were greatly followed during college campus during late 80’s. As years passed by, Aamir grew as a mature actor who delivers only hit movies, that also in the frequency one in a year. He is considered as the true professional who works hard in all fields of a cinema, till it reaches screen. He is also known to be Mr.Professional of Bollywood who wants to make everything the most perfect.

 

During 2000’s, he began to view cinema seriously and have given wonderful hits to film world including Lagaan, Dil chahta hai, Talaash, Fana, Tare Zameen Par, Rang de basanthi and Gajani. Through Tare Zameen par he has proved to be a good direction, and through Dhoom 3, he is working to prove himself to be a good villain. So, through these 25 years, we have seen a great actor who has grown from a chocolate boy to Mr. Perfection in Bollywood.
