Book Review Of 'The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari'

It has been a great pleasure reading one of Robin Sharma's great works -"The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari". It's really a spiritual treat for people seeking something motivational in their life.I would recommend this book to anyone who feel like they don't see meaning to their lives.

Robin Sharma has depicted the character of an advocate to impart spirituality in the readers. The Advocate has encountered with a heart-attack and came to survive it to discover the true meaning of life. He quits his job and sells all his belongings which include a red Ferrari car which was his favorite. He then moves to the East, towards The Himalayas, and finds a group of monks residing there. He chooses to live there and be a disciple in the monk community and thus learns many values about life from the monks. After learning what life is about and how it is to be lived, he returns to his homeland to spread the vision of the monks. The monks had made him promise that he'll spread the message wherever and in whatever situations he could.

The Advocate comes to see Robin Sharma and decides to share the vision of the monks to him.The story goes this way.He shares all that he's learned from The Himalayas and clears many of the doubts Robin had about his life which is actually the same doubts everyone would have about their lives. Thus in this way, Robin Sharma answers the queries of a simple reader. The book is full of pessimistic view about life and it teaches that bad times offer much better than good times.Good times pampers us and make us lazy while bad times tell us to work harder and remain conscious.

The novel itself says that it has changed many lives.I could definitely say that it has changed or improved my life in many ways too. I now have a different and positive perspective about life after reading many of Robin Sharma's novels. So readers, I definitely recommend you to read Robin Sharma's novels and follow him for a powerful and great life.Other great works of Robin Sharma include 'The Secret Letters','Who Will Cry When You Die','The MegaLiving' and many more.
