The diary of a young girl is a kind of autobiography written by Anne Frank.She used to call her diary with the name 'Kitty'. She had gone into hiding at a secret annexe at the major parts of her writing the diary. However, she started writing the diary a few months back.Anne Frank was a teenager when she started writing the diary. She has greatly described all her family members in her diary. She has seen her diary as a friend rather than a book. She has told all her secrets and feelings to her diary.She had described in her diary that she had no real friends and therefore she is glad to find a friend in her diary.

She had a sister named Margot Frank.The sisters shared good company with each other. Anne was more beautiful than her sister.She loved Peter Van Daan, the only son of Van Daan's. She had many good moments with Peter in the secret annexe.Van Daan family were acquaintances of Frank family. They accompanied Frank family in hiding in the secret annexe. When Margot got her 'call-up notice', the Frank family shifted from their old home to the secret annexe.She had a vivid expression about the secret annexe and all the details of that building in her diary. They were hiding and thus Anne was very afraid of making any noise inside the secret annexe so that others may know about them hiding. She and her dad did clean the whole annexe the first day while her mother and sister were tired from the long journey they had to take to reach the annexe. Anne missed her cat so much that she kept thinking about what her cat would be currently doing then.

Later after hiding for many months, it had been recorded in history that their secret annexe was attacked and all the members were captured and taken to concentration camps. Anne Frank and her sister were separated from their parents and taken to different concentration camps and eventually the sisters were dead due to a holocaust.
