Amitabh Bachchan is one of the amazing stars of Bollywood and if his name has one meaning then it must be ‘success’. This emperor of film stars is found in many television commercials starting from hair oil to soap and he has huge online fan base that is looking forward for his tweets. He connects to the people freely the reason why the masses hail him.

He was born as son of a poet in the town of Allahabad in India and nourished his dreams of becoming an actor since his childhood days. He tried for a chance for a very long time but each time was turned away because of two reasons, he was not trained in acting and his voice was very rough. Later in his career the same voice was what made him stand out of others in the industry.

He was taller than the tallest and his height itself became one of the step stones for his winning. He became the face of India and gained global acceptance. Though he is very tall, he married the short Jaya Bachchan, his sweetheart. His son Abhishek Bachchan is none other than the darling of the world’s most beautiful woman Aishwarya Rai.

Amitabh Bachchan made a great revolution in the television shows by launching the world famous show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. This reality show made this already famous person even more famous. Again the other popular show Bigg Boss earned him great appreciations from the audience who were dumbstruck by his friendly performance.

He has also produced many successful films through his film production company named Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited which is also called as ABCL. One of his own productions is the film Paa in which he acted as the boy affected with a rare disease called progeria which made him look like an old man. Abhishek Bachchan his own son played the character of his father in that film. Amitabh was able to live through the entire role successfully, another milestone in his career.

He took a short break in his acting career and turned his attention towards politics. He remained a lifelong good friend of the former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. He won the Allahabad constituency in 1984 and secured a place in the eighth Lok Sabha. However, he did not like to involve in politics which he name as cesspool and resigned after three years.

He had to withstand financial crisis many times due to the failures of the film he produced. However he overcame those hard times and rose to fame once again. He won many national awards and Filmfare awards and received the civilian honors Padma Shri award in 1984 and Padma Bhushan award in 2001 from the Government of India. He is the first living Asian to be waxed at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum at London, a rare honor that any celebrity would crave for.
