A lot of professionals are constantly giving presentations but are not aware of it; there are various types of presentations a manager in the corporate world has to give. Many negotiations usually start with a short presentation, presenting needs, prices etc.

  5.  A cultural warning- there can be lots of cultural indifferences when it comes to information. A brief summary of the challenge may be enough before getting down discussing solutions.

 

  • Analyzing the challenge: it is very important to analyze the challenge. It is necessary to explain in detail the tools and approaches used at each stage. Failure to de so risks misunderstanding and conflict.
  1. Identify the problems: it is common to use form of process analysis in order to locate where the real problem is.
  2. Analyze data: data is then presented which provides an in-depth understanding of the problem.
  3. Investigate the cause: some root cause analysis needs to be done to identify the causes of the problem.
  4. Propose a solution: the presenter needs to present his solution is a simple and short manner.
  5. Review data to check validity of solution: it helps show how various data can go wrong.
  6. Long term solution: the presenter needs to give a long term solution to the audience, short gimmicks do not work in the long run.
  7. Review the problem: the presenter should focus on harder issues, the efficiency of tools and accuracy of data. This strategy will encourage team work and communication.

 

  • How to present the status of a project: project reporting is highly complicated and depends on the type of project to be reported. The projects include the schedule, the finance, threats and issues. Tailoring the presentations to audiences taste and requirement is equally important.  Managers often have a lot of information in their heads. But the audience needs a solid overview and highlighting the important points in there.  

The format used is extremely important as a PowerPoint may not be the best and the only method to give a presentation, managers also uses Word for the same.

  • How to present to customers: the customers are one set of audience that a manager constantly has to present to be able to sell his products and services. 
  1. Getting it right: it is important to give the right information to the right person at the right time.
  2. A psychological approach: Behavioral science is simple but has important aspects that help target the psychology of customers.
  3. Divide the pleasure, concentrate the pain: the pleasure and the good needs to be distributed over small bit sized chunks to give the customer a feeling of pleasure and fun.
  4. Get by-in by choice: give the customers options; this will get them more receptive to buying stuff.
  5. Final word of customer psychology: it is important not to forget on customer psychology and deliver to promises as it is important and very important for better customer experience.
  • Personal branding: to see success in ones professional career it is important to be a highly branded individual, a clear vision of who one is, and what one has to offer. it is very necessary to stand t of the crowd and get noticed, pretty much like BMW and Mercedes. 
  • It is very important to sell one, one may have great skills and knowledge but it is of no use if no one knows about it. Thus selling oneself becomes extremely important in the corporate world of today. If one is really looking to market himself/herself he/she needs to take an initiative to delegate leadership, and create opportunities for others, there by leading by example.
