Most of you reading this may feel this post is most relevant to those who run multimillion dollar companies and are called CEO of corporations that say their primary motive is earning profit but instead only work for money, it actually isn’t, this post is for all those who have ever worked under a leader, who have been a leader in some form or another or have made sincere efforts to know your business and help you improve on it.

The only reason why I decided to write this is that in the present corporate scenario there are a number of CEO who are creating uncertainty. Some of the reasons can be the global volatile environment and some reasons may be lack of team building and focus. It is thus very important for these leaders to know their business to the core. CEOs usually are those people who have nurtured the business from start up to a level that most companies wish to reach, then why do I say that they need to know their businesses?

By saying know their business I do not mean the way business is done, the way his people deals with the external or internal environment or the way his own people think of him, this is an important HR function and this is where most CEOs forget that managing their men is the most important function in running any business. This is where the CEOs need to invest both time and lots of money in knowing what his people want? Why? And how? This will help manage their enterprise more efficiently and with a lot of positive results he will not only see an increase in the efficiency, but the balance sheet is sure to swell.

Thus knowing ones business is synonymous to knowing ones team, if a CEO or a businessman knows his team he is very sure of knowing the nuts and bolts of his business and this will help him efficiently manage his enterprise and ensure he not only runs it, but runs it successfully making not only profit, but also impacting lives!
