The National Gallery of Modern Art is one of the best Indian art galleries. It was established by Indian Government on 29th March 1954 and has a big collection of many famous artists including Rabindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose and Raja Ravi Verma. The oldest works dating back to 1857 are also preserved here.

 

This art gallery is located on the Rajpath near the India Gate. It houses a preview theatre, a laboratory, library and an auditorium. It also has a museum shop and cafeteria. Its branches are located in Mumbai and Bangalore.
