Galta Temple or the Monkey Temple is situated in the mountain ranges located at the eastern part of the city. There is a reservoir above this which has pure water that appears to fall from the Gaumukh or the mouth of a cow. During sunset, hundreds of monkeys gather on this spot. This temple is nicknamed the Jewel of Jaipur. Above this temple is located at the Surya Mandir.
