Releasing during the Wildlife Week, “The River Terns of Bhadra” is India's first wildlife film to be licensed under creative commons which allows the film to be free for everyone to screen and share. This is a new initiative in this area, and aims to make available the content of the film, elevating and assisting the cause of conservation. The Bhadra tiger reserve is one of India’s treasured tiger reserves. The reserve, rich in flora and fauna is flanked by the backwaters of Bhadra dam to the north. In summers, the backwaters of Bhadra witness a magical phenomenon. Thousands of River terns throng the backwaters in search of a nesting place. The film brings the story of River Terns lives up-close. With hidden camera traps, underwater cameras and high speed cameras, the film captures some special sequences.
