Tirap District Climate: The winter season lasts from November to February. The pre-monsoon season prevails from March to May and is marked by frequent thunderstorms. From May to October there are heavy and frequent showers almost in all the days.

Tirap District Facts: Cross border tensions prevail in this district with militancy. So, very low tourist activities are seen here. The district headquarters is located at an elevation of 4200 feet above mean sea level.         Khonsa is the thickly populated region.
