Zarine Khan Biography

Zarine Khan is an actress of Bollywood, most popularly known for striking similarities with Katrina Kaif. She debut silver screen opposite Salman Khan in the movie ‘Veer’ and has later worked with him in Ready, with an item number – Character Dheela hai. She has also done an item number ‘Malgove’ in Vetrimaaran’s Tamil movie, Naan Rajavaga Pogiren. Her first successful movie is Houseful 2, released in the year 2012, a sequel of Houseful. In full-fledged role, she has acted only two movies till now – Veer and Houseful 2. Veer failed at box office while Houseful 2 was a blockbuster. Now she is working on her debut Tamil movie as heroine – Karikalan.  This movie is directed by L. I. Kannan and she stars opposite superstar Vikram. Another dream project that’s she is working on at present is again with Salman Khan – the sequel of David Dhavan’s Partner, titled Partner 2. She fluently speaks in Urdu, Hindi, English and Marathi.

Zarine Khan was born in Mumbai in 14 May 1987. Her ambition was to become a doctor. But later she focused to become a model and reduced her weight. Once she visited the sets of Subhash Ghai’s Yuvraj when she was studying at Subhash Ghai's film school Whistling Woods. By chance Salman Khan noticed her and found that her looks go well with Princess Yashodhara, the heroine of his next periodic movie, Veer (2010). She was given a screen test by director Anil Sharma and eventually got selected. Despite being given much hype, the movie flopped at box office. But her performance was appreciated and she won Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut nomination. 

Next year (In 2011), she worked with Salman Khan for an item number for Ready. For the song, character dheela, she portrayed characters of Mughal-e-Azam, Sholay and Shri 420. In 2012, she got a dream role in Sajid Khan’s Houseful 2. She played the role of JLo a model who is in love with Jolly, the character being played by Ritesh Deshmukh. In her upcoming Tamil film Karikalan in which she is playing leading role of Velir Princess, opposite Vikram.
