Yog Japee Biography 
Yog Japee is a theatre artist and south Indian film actor who appears in character and supporting roles and he is mostly associated with Kollywood. He is mostly seen in negative shades in Tamil movies. He played pivot roles in 2007 action movie – Billa and the latest release, Soodhu Kavvum (2013). He is also a theatre artist and a recipient of the prestigious international Fellowship on the Chevening-Clore Leadership Programme for Cultural Leaders in 2012.
He is an actor, writer and trainer and so passionate about theatre. He is the founder of Chennai based theatre ‘Y’ and he has been associated with several international theater projects as well. ‘Y’ conducts theatre workshops as well as voice training apart from doing regular stage shows. He trains children through his workshops. Most recently he was seen playing negative role in Prithviraj starrer Malayalam hit – 7th day (2014). It was his debut Malayalam movie as well.
He regularly appears in police films of Gautham Menon, the most notable ones being Kakka kakka and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. He also appeared in both the movies in Billa series. His role as police officer in Soodhu Kavvum is his most appreciated work in the recent times. His role as antagonist in Malayalam thriller 7th Day also gathered him positive reviews. Aasal, Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru, Arinthum Ariyamalum, Naan Avanillai 2 and Arima Nambi are some of his Tamil movies. He also appeared in successful Telugu movie – Gharshana. Yog is passionate about history, folk traditions and the myths and strives to keep those beliefs alive through his theatre work.
