Yazir Saleem Biography

Yazir Saleem is a film actor associated with Malayalam cinema, known for playing character roles. He also works as an assistant director in the industry. Yazir made his debut with the Malayalam film Happy Journey (2014) where he played a small role and later got opportunity to work in Mammootty’s Acha Din in 2015. But the much anticipated film was a major flop at box office. He played the supporting role of Hussain in the film. Yazir is to enter Tamil films through Moondru Rasikarkal, where he plays one among the three hardcore Vijay fans. Oree Mukham – is his upcoming Malayalam release. He is an engineering graduate who entered film industry.

He was born in Aluva town of Ernakulam district in the year 1992. He was born into a Muslim family. C R Saleem and Ramla Saleem are his parents. He is the eldest of five children. He has two brothers and two sisters. He completed Bachelor of Technology in electronics and communication from KMEA Engineering College, Edathala before he chose films as his profession. He made his film debut as an actor through Happy Journey (2014) directed by Boban Samuel. Lead roles were played by Jayasurya and Aparna Gopinath, and Yazir was seen in introduction.

Same year he started his career as an assistant director for Dileep starrer film, Ivan Maryadaramam. He works as an assistant director under Suresh Divakar. In 2015 he acted in Mammootty starrer Acha Din, and he is to debut Tamil films in 2016. He is active in social networking sites such as twitter and often posts instagram photos with his buddies.
