Vrindavanam Venugopalan Biography 
Vrindavanam Venugopalan was a noted writer and journalist from Kerala. He was also known as an educationalist and he wrote in Malayalam and English languages. He was also known as a pioneer in the family planning movement in Kerala in 1957, when such movements had just begun. He was also a columnist for several newspapers and he wrote on various subjects. As a writer, his works include short stories, Literary Criticism, Biography, essays, research works and Study on Bureaucracy. He has also authored one book - Gateway to English Grammar in 1994. He has worked with Kaumudi Daily and the Pothujanam Eve Daily and has served as the Chief Editor of Prathichaya and Managing Editor of Viswakeralam Daily during 1980’s. He was also Kerala Convenor of All India Small Newspapers Association.
He was born on October 24, 1935 in Kollam, Travancore of British India. He completed his Intermediate from Sree Narayana College, Kollam and then completed graduation from University College, Thiruvananthapuram in 1960. Then he took his Master’s Degree in English and Sociology from University of Kerala and also completed B.Ed and M.Ed courses from Kerala University. Then he did training in Extension Education, Audio-Visual Education, Mass Communication, Adult Education and Family Planning. From early 1950’s, he regularly contributed articles to daily newspapers. He started a Manuscript Monthly 'Vrindavanam' in 1952 and later the ‘Vrindavanam’ got tagged to his name. Same year he started another weekly 'Vidhyarthilokam'.
Kalayum Kavyavum, Swapnamgal, Indulekhayum Saradayum, Kutumbasamvidhanatinu Mumbu, Alankara Samskhepam, Vritha Samgraham, Laghu Vyakaranam, Pracharanopadhikal, Communication Materials on F.P, Vishadangale Vida, K.P. Vallon Smaranika, Thrimanan, Abudabi, Gandeevam and K. Karunakaran are his published works. He has worked in Health Service department as a government employee in different positions.
