Vipul Amrutlal Shah Biography 
Vipul Amrutlal Shah (commonly known as Vipul Shah) is a film producer and director of Bollywood. He is one among those directors of Bollywood who has excellent record with Akshay Kumar. Till now, he has directed (and released) only 5 films of which 4 films belong to Akshay Kumar. Of those four films, his last release Action Replayy was a flop while all the rest were superhits. The single movie, where he didn’t work with Akshay Kumar was London Dreams in which he worked with Ajay Devgan, Salman Khan and Asin. This movie was also a flop at box office, though not as terrible as his latest release Action Replayy. As a director, apart from Action Replay and London Dreams, Vipul’s movies are Aankhein, Waqt: The race against time, Namasthey London and Singh is Kingg.
Vipul Amrutlal Shah was born on 3rd April 1973. He started with a soap opera Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, aired on Sony Entertainment Television, which become the longest running family drama with over 1000 episodes. Vipul’s debut movie as a film director was Aankhein released in the year 2002. In this movie, Amitabh Bachchan appeared in a negative role for the first time in his career. Apart from Big B, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal also played pivot roles. These three played the roles of blind who are hired by Amitabh Bachchan to do a bank robbery. Sushmita Sen played the leading role as actress and Bipasha Basu did a friendly appearance. The theme was fresh and the movie was well received too.
He casted the same leading actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in his second movie – Waqt: The race against time. His wife actress Shefali (of Satya and Company fame) played Amitabh Bachchan’s wife’s role. Priyanka Chopra played Akshay Kumar’s wife’s role. This family melodrama was also accepted by the audience for its subject. He created magic again with Akshay Kumar with the movies Namasthey London and Singh is Kingh. In both these movies, Katrina Kaif played the leading role. Though the scripts of both these movies were different and treatment was distinct, basic storyline of both these movies were almost same. Both these movies became huge hits at box office too. He has announced the sequel of Namasthey London. However his experiments with Time Machine, with Akshay Kumar and Aiswarya Rai in the leading roles were not a success.
