Vidisha (actress) Biography

Vidisha Srivastava, shortly called Vidisha is an Indian model and south Indian film actress, who predominantly works in Telugu movies. Her younger sister, Shanvi Srivastava is also an actress in South Indian films. Vidisha originally hails from Uttar Pradesh, but concentrates her career to south Indian movies.

Vidisha Srivastava was born on April 28, 1986 in Varanasi, UP. She has two siblings of whom Shanvi is a popular actress. She graduated in biotechnology and also did a Business Management course. Vidisha dreamt to become an actress and for the same reason she started modelling. Modelling gave her an offer from south Indian movies. She debut big screen at the age of 19 for the Telugu movie - Maa Iddari Madhya where she played the role of Shivani. The following year she had three releases - Athili Sattibabu LKG, Alaa and Prem. For the movie, Athili Sattibabu LKG she played second lead aside Allari Naresh and Kausha Rach and the movie was a box office hit.

In 2007 she made her Kannada debut in Nali Naliyutha and she received mixed reviews from critics. She made her Tamil debut through Kathavarayan, released in 2008. She played female lead opposite Karan for her debut. But the movie too received negative reviews. She also acted in one Malayalam movie - Lucky Jokers in 2011. The movie directed by Sunil had an ensemble star cast of Anoop Menon, Madhu, Ajmal Ameer, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagadeesh, Harishree Ashokan and Vadivelu. She played female lead, Lakshmi Thampuratty in this movie. But the movie sank without any traces. Devaraya (Telugu) and Viraat (Kannada) are her other releases.
