Vidharth Biography

Vidharth is an Indian film actor who concentrates in Tamil film industry. He entered film industry in 2001 and was performing in insignificant roles until he got a break through the film Thiruvannamalai in which played the role of villain.

Vidharth was born at Kalakkad in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu. His father was working as a cook in Singapore and sent his hard earned money home for the education of his son. But Vidharth was not good in his studies and was nourishing dreams of becoming an actor. At one point of time, he wanted to become a bus driver and worked in Devakottai, Madurai and Coimbatore. But his father was not pleased with his job and so he left that job and left for Chennai seeking his fortune in film industry.

He joined the drama troupe Koothu Pattarai and started to learn acting slowly and showed his face for the first time in the film Minnale in 2001 in insignificant role. But again, he had to work hard for more offers and continued to spend time with the drama troupe. He had to struggle for ten long years to establish himself as an actor.

The director Prabhu Solomon seeing his acting skills in the drama troupe gave him chance to act in the films Kokki, Lee and Laadam. He played a noticeable role for the first time in the film Thiruvannamalai in 2007. He acted in the lead role for the first time in the movie Mynaa in 2010 and this was highly successful and won him awards.

He got more offers after the success of Mynaa and some of the movies that he has acted include Sandakozhi, Parattai Enkira Azhagu Sundaram, Thiruvannamalai, Raman Thediya Seethai, Laadam, Mynaa, Mayilu, Vizhithiru, Jannal Oram, Kollaikaram, Mudhal Idam, etc.
