Vibha Chibber Biography

Vibha Chibber is a noted actress who works in movies, television as well as theater. Television actor Puru Chibber is her son. She is a graduate from National School of Drama in 1986 batch. She has appeared in character roles in Bollywood movies like Sawariya, Chak De! India, Peter Gaya Kaam Se, Let's Dance, Boss, Gajani and Jolly LLB. She plays the role of Amma in upcoming movie, Lakshmi. Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai is still regarded as her best television appearance for which she received a nomination at Telly Awards in the supporting actress category. Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai – marked her small screen debut as well.

After graduating as an actor from National School of Drama in 1986, she joined theatre where she got opportunity to work with many leading theatre personalities like Barry John, Amal Allana and Kirti Jain, Anuradha Kapoor. Then she joined NSD as a faculty where she taught acting to students. Young actresses of Bollywood at present, Nargis Fakhri, Diana Penty and Giselle Monteiro have learnt from her at NSD. She has acted in a documentary film "7 Island And A Metro" directed by Madhushree Dutta. Then she landed to the entertainment industry of television and cinema.

She debut small screen with Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai in the year 2007. She played the role of Bindeshwari Kaushik in Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein and has done cameo appearance in television series - Looteri Dulhan and Saas v/s Bahu. In 2013, she acted in Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed. She played assistant coach Krishanji’s role in Chak de India. Chak de India was her first commercial movie. She played the role of a police inspector in Hindi remake of Ghajini.
