Vava Suresh Biography 
Vava Suresh is an Indian wildlife conservationist and a snake expert from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. His real name is Suresh and he is known by his nickname, Vava Suresh. Suresh has claimed to have captured more than 30,000 snakes in the past 25 years, including 17 cobras till now from different parts of Kerala and released them in protected forest ranges. He has also been bitten several times by snakes and hospitalized. Suresh came to limelight after wide spread start up of local area cable channels in the state and now he is a familiar face all over Kerala. He saves snakes straying into human inhabited areas and later sends them to forest area, thus saving their lives. Thus he is a snake lover who never harms snakes. Most recently when Prince Charles visited Kerala in November 2013, he expressed his desire to meet this strange man. Charles met Vava Suresh at Athirapally, Thrissur on November 13.
Suresh was born into a poor family in Thiruvananthapuram in 1974. He developed a passion to snakes at a younger age and at the age of 12 he captured a baby cobra and kept it hidden in his house to study its behavior. From there on, he began to study the nature of different types of snakes without harming them or himself. His skills he earned are through his experiences and long term association with reptiles and he has never taken any formal training. He never uses any equipment and catches snakes bare handed. In those encounters, he has been bitten several times and very often, his condition has become critical. Till now, Suresh has survived more than 266 snake bites.
Once he was bitten by cobra and seriously wounded that he had to surgically remove one finger. His palm on the right hand had to be skin grafted after suffering a bite in 2012. Now antibodies of his body are enough to protect him from small snake bites. Though he has been offered a job in government service in forest department by minister, he declined it saying he would be unable to help the society the way he wants to if he was employed.
