Varun Dhawan Biography 
Varun Dhawan is the son of David Dhawan who has made recent entry to Bollywood with Karan Johar’s Student of the year. He was casted along with a group of youngsters in this movie – Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Sana Saeed. He is the younger brother of Rohit Dawan, of Dezzi Boys fame (as a director).
Varun Dhawan was born on April 24, 1987 in Mumbai. He was born as the younger son of director David Dhawan and Karuna Dhawan. In his childhood he wanted to become a wrestler. He studied at Bombay Scottish School Mahim and was an excellent student with records. He was good in sports too, at his school level. He holds a degree in business management from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Varun Dhawan debut Bollywood as an assistant director of Karan Johar for the movie, My name is Khan in 2010. In 2012, his debut movie was released – Student of the year. This movie was directed by Karan Johar, famous for delivering Shah Rukh Khan hits only. For the first time, when he attempted a fresh story with a set of new, young, inexperienced but talented actors, it clicked at box office too. The movie was declared a hit as well. He played the role of Rohan Nanda, the son of a business tycoon who has personal indifferences with his father. The role as a frustrated teenager and lover was well delivered by Varun in this movie. He accumulated appreciation of audience as well as critics through his excellent performance. Many critics commented about his charming look and acting skills and he even got appreciations that it never appears that it’s his debut.
His next Bollywood venture is Main Tera Hero, is a remake of a Telugu blockbuster film, Kandireega produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. It’s for the first time, he will be working under his father. David Dhawan is to direct this movie in which Varun will play a musician’s role and is slated to release in 4 April 2014. He will also play the lead in next Karan Johar’s venture, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, opposite co-star of his debut movie, Alia Bhatt.
