Varun Badola Biography

Varun Badola is a popular television actor, known for character roles. He has also played supporting roles in Bollywood. In 2013, he played the role of a sub inspector in the commercial hit, Mickey Virus. He is an accomplished singer and dancer as well, and has participated in many reality shows. Doordarshan serial, Itihaas in the late 1990’s was one of his early noted performances followed by Koshish produced by Balaji Telefilms. He played the role of a mentally challenged person which shot him to instant fame. After that he regularly appears in television series and now has moved to movies.

Varun Badola was born on 7 January 1974 in New Delhi as the son of well-known artist, Vishwa Mohan Badola. He has 2 sisters. Her elder sister Alka has appeared in the TV serial Kumkum and the second sister Kalinder is a radio jockey. Varun is married to noted singer-actress, Rajeshwari Sachdev. He spent his childhood in Delhi and Ahmedabad. Though he is a professional actor, his real passion is cricket and for the same reason, he participates in Celebrity Cricket League as a member of the Mumbai Heroes team.

Before choosing acting as his profession, he tried my luck in various things like editing, post production, photography and cinematography. He thought of joining FTII. But later he came to know that only science graduates were allowed to study cinematography. He also thought of assisting a cameraman in Mumbai. But acting came in his way and today he is a successful actor of small screen. He reached Mumbai at the age of 22. Before that he has been associated with theatre in Delhi. He assisted directors and did bit roles before becoming a successful actor. He believes that basically he is a cricketer who acts to run the house.
