Vani Tripathi is a Bollywood actress, stage actor and a politician belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party. This actor turned political leader at present is the National secretary of BJP. As a film actress, her noticed works are Chalte chalte, Dushman and Inteqam: The Perfect Game. She appeared in supporting roles in these movies. As a politician her prime goals include encouraging women to actively participate in politics. As a celebrity campaigner of the BJP she regularly conducts campaigns and programs with this aim. As a political activist, she works on issues related to women and youth and travels nationwide with her campaigns.

She is a television actress and noted theatre personality too. She has also worked with many experienced theater artists like Barry John and Ebrahim Alkazi. She has been associated with National School of Drama, New Delhi as an actress as well as a teacher. She is also associated with Madhya Pradesh School of Drama. She has done more than 150 stage plays till now. She has also worked on Doordarshan television serials like Ehsaas and Agneepath. She has also worked in an Indo-Italian film Omero—an entry to Cannes Film Festival. She has also been associated with ad-films.

She was born on July 4, 1979 in New Delhi. Her family belongs to Uttarakhand where her father works as a professor. Most recently in October 2013, she got married to Gurgaon based corporate Hemant Tikoo. In April 2013, she has been in news following her assault by a group of drunken men in Nation’s capital, just 1 km away from the site of infamous Delhi Gang Rape.
