V. V. Vinayak Biography

V. V. Vinayak is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter associated with Telugu cinema. He is known for action entertainers. Vinayak made his film debut with the 2002 film Aadi starring NTR Junior, which was declared a hit at box office. The movie earned him Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director for the year 2002. Dil and Tagore starring Chiranjeevi are other major hits of Vinayak as a director. Tagore was a blockbuster and is considered to be Chiranjeevi's biggest hit in his career. The director is to direct the 150^th movie of this acting legend. He also gave Charan a blockbuster with ‘Naayak’.

As a hit maker and action entertainer of Telugu cinema, most of his movies were either dubbed or remade to other Indian languages. In 2008, he bagged Santhosham Best Commercial Director award for his box office hit – Krishna. He is associated with Gowtham Raju for most of his projects. His full name is Gandrothu Veera Venkata Vinayak. He is married to Anantha Lakshmi Satyavathi. He started his career in the film industry with early 2000s. 2002 film Aadi was his debut film as a director, and it was a commercial hit. One of the major hits of NTR Junior’s acting career, he was paired with Keerti Chawla. The film produced by Bellamkonda Suresh collected about 200 million rupees.

His debut movie was followed by Chennakesava Reddy starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Tabu and Shriya in the lead roles. The movie too was declared a box office hit. Since then he entertained audience with his masala movies like – Dil, Tagore, Samba, Bunny, Lakshmi, Adhurs, Yogi, Krishna, Akhil: The power of Jua, Nayak, Naayak, Alludu Sreenu etc. The director prefers short titles for his movies.
