Tinnu Anand Biography

Tinnu Anand is a film producer, director and actor of Bollywood. He was most active in the industry during 90’s. He is also known for portraying villain roles and supporting roles. As a director, he has given numerous blockbuster hits to Bollywood. He has directed Amitabh Bachchan in three of his major hits of 80’s - Kaalia (1981), Shahenshah (1988), Main Azaad Hoon (1989) and the moderate successful movie of 1990’s - Major Saab (1998). He is the son of veteran writer Inder Raj Anand and uncle of director Siddharth Anand. His brother Bittu Anand is a film producer who has financed a few of Amitabh’s movies. Famous director Mukul Anand is Tinnu’s cousin. Thus his family is filled with a big list of great film makers of Bollywood.

Tinnu Anand was born as the son of script writer Inder Raj Anand who has given great movies to Bollywood like Jawani Diwani, Haathi Mere Saathi, Safar, Sangam, Ek duje ke liye, Jaani Dushman and Shahenshah. He did his schooling from Mayo College before joining movies. He has proved his versatility as a director as well as an actor.

As an actor and director he has been very active in the industry during 90’s.  He has acted in a few of milestone movies of Kamal Hassan’s career like Pushpak, Nayakan and Indian. He is now frequently seen in Priyadarshan movies doing comic roles. A few of his movies as an actor include – Gajani, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Ugli aur pagli, Hindusthan, Jaane Hoga Kya, Bombay, trimurthy, Zamana deewana, Khiladi, Agnee path, Suraksha, Yun Hota To Kya Hota, Hadh karde aapne, Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai Tumse, Paisa vasool, Army, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Debaangg, De Dana Dan, Ghatak, Diljale, Saathiya, Sharaarat, Rok Sako To Rok Lo, kyon!
