Tia Singh Biography

Tia Singh is a successful model and DJ and a Bollywood actress too. She made her Bollywood debut through ‘Pranaam Walekum’ in a supporting role. Though the movie was scheduled to get released in 2013, movie had to face objections from the Delhi Development Authority for lack of permission for film shooting and has not released yet. In this movie Tia plays the role of a mentally challenged girl and the movie also stars Irrfan Khan in a cameo, plus Giselli Monteiro, Shilpa Shukla and Vindu Dara Singh. She won the Asian Super Model title in 2011 in a clean shaved head outlook.

Tia is a Punjabi girl born on March 22, 1991. She was born in a Sikh family as the daughter of Swarn Singh and Charanjeet Kaur. She has three siblings. She completed graduation from Chandigarh University. She started her modelling career at the age of 16, while doing her studies. She has been a Delhi-based model and has done ramp walks for many prestigious fashion shows. She has also modelled for many leading brands like Vaio, Dell, Marie Clair and Loreal, for its Indian edition. Apart from television commercials, she has also appeared in a few television serials.

She appeared in a bald head look for Asian Super Model contest in 2011 and finished as the winner. It earned her wide acclaim too. She has always experimented with her looks and well known for her sheer guts in trying something new. She is also trained in semi classical dance forms and it helps her a lot in her ramp shows too. Currently she is a disc jockey too.
