Tia Kar Biography 
Tia Kar is an Indian singer who shot to fame with Indian Idol 5. She was one of the finalists of this reality singing talent hunt show, where Sreeramchandra Mynampati from Hyderabad was chosen as winner. She was one among the strong lady contestants of the show, who used to get good response from viewers in the form of votes. Tia was a first year fashion designing and law student in Amity, Pune while she contested the show. Her father is a playback singer and mother is a professor. Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan are her favourite singers. She is to debut film field as an actress very soon.
Tia didn’t take any formal learning in singing. Instead she learnt from her father, who is a talented singer. Her father inspired her a lot to choose music as her profession. Thus she appeared in Indian Idol, a solid platform for budding singers and reached till final though was not able to made it. She finished 6th in the show. Sreeramchandra Mynampati was the strong contender of the contest since the beginning. As her father was frequent in travels and mother busy with teaching, she grew up at Indore in her aunt’s home.
In the show, she was Anu Malik’s favourite. Though she was not singing extremely well in the first few rounds, slowly she improved a lot. She got eliminated from the show after coming in the bottom three for the first time. Till then, she has been one of the popular singers of the show. She has been bagged for two Bollywood movies to play supporting roles. Happy Christmas directed by Aziz Mirza and Pehli baar pyar kita hai by Sridhar Shetty are those two movies.
