Tejaswini Pandit is an Indian actress who works in Marathi cinema and television. She debut big screen with Marathi movie, Aga Bai Arrecha directed by Kedar Shinde, where she played negative role. But later she played soft and heart touching roles and gained popularity among Marathi audience. In 2011, she won Best Actor Female in MIFTA and a few more international awards. She received Best Actress award in Spain International Film Festival in 2011 and nomination for 'Best Performance by an Actress' in Asia Pacific Screen Awards held in Australia in 2010. Vavtal' & Mee Sindhutai Sapkal are her popular Marathi movies and 'Ekach Hya Janami Janu’ & 'Kalay Tasmai Namah', her noted television roles. Her first television break as a lead actress was 'Tuzha Ni Mazha Ghar Shrimantacha'.

Tejaswini Pandit was born in a traditional Marathi family in Pune on 23 May 1986. She is the youngest daughter of Ranjit & Jyoti Pandit. She completed her schooling from Muktangan School, Pune. She was active in sports during her school days. Her mother Jyoti Pandit, also known as Jyoti Chandekar is a well known artist of Marathi theatre and cinema. Yet no one in the family thought that in future, she too will be attracted towards the entertainment world. Tejaswini started her career through modelling. Her first assignment was for IME Pune for the Kirloskar Group.

Her first break in Marathi movie was given by Kedar Shinde in his movie, Aga Bai Arrecha where she was offered negative role. Then she worked aside her mother in theatre play 'Rakheli'. Then she appeared in the movie, Vavtal and she received appreciation. It was followed by 'GAIIR'. But the real break was Mee Sindhutai Sapkal directed by Anant Mahadevan, based on a real story. Her upcoming movies are 'Mukti’ and ‘Bluff master’.
