Tarun Chandra Biography

Tarun Chandra is a successful Kannada film actor who played title roles in Geleya (2007), Love Guru (2009), multi-starrer Khushi (2003) and Gaana Bajaana (2010). He was paired with Radhika Pandit in Love Guru (debut movie in lead role), Gaana Bajaana and in 2012 he appeared in a cameo role in Radhika Pandit starrer Addhuri. This lead pair has been well received by audience so far. Most recently he was seen in a friendly appearance in Gharshane. Goa is his upcoming flick. He also appeared in one Telugu film Valliddari Vayasu Padahare.

He was born in Bangalore in 1983. He completed B.Com degree in MES College, Bangalore. He attended a three months acting course at Kishore Namit Acting Institute at Bangalore, while studying second year. Though he received many film roles at this point, he didn’t accept those roles and decided to complete graduation. Soon after graduation, he shot his portfolio and also made a few videos. Multi-starrer Khushi marked his acting debut, where he played second lead. He later played supporting roles in Prajwal Devaraj starrer Geleya, Hani Hani and Ee Bandhana.

After struggling a few years in the industry he approached director Prashanth with his portfolio, who was in search of a new hero for his upcoming flick -   Love Guru. He read the ad in the newspaper. Love Guru was his first break to film industry as a lead actor and the movie was a hit. After this he played title roles in many movies. Gaana Bajaana (2010), Naanalla (2011), Ondu Kshanadalli (2012) and Pade Pade (2013) are some of his noted works.
